Tradional Caesar Salad


Let’s see how to make a classic s Caesar salad with croutons and a creamy dressing.

We can start to make croutons first.



1/2 small French stick

2 tblsps avocado oil (Lime)

1tblsps Italian herbs

Salt and pepper, to taste

Firstly, to cut bread stick in to cubes and mix with an avocado oil, Italian herbs , salt ,pepper in a bowl.


Then, place evenly on an oven tray. Finally, cook in a moderate over (180C) for about 5-10 minutes, or crisp and golden.

*Croutons are small pieces of fried or toasted bread used in soups or salads. They can be seasoned before cooking, to add flavour

And then we can make creamy dressing now


2 egg yolks

2 tsps Dijon mustard

1/2 cup oliveoil

2 tblsps lemon juice (adjustable)

2 tsps soy sauce

2 tblsps warm water

Salt and pepper , to taste

To make the Caesar dressing, place the egg yolks, mustard in a blender.


Blend until smooth

With motor operating, add oil in a thin, steady stream, blending until smooth. Add lemon juice, soy source and water. Blend to combine. Season.

To poach egg, place water in a deep frying pan to a depth of 4cm. add vinegar. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to a very slow simmer. Crack one egg into a small bowl. Stir the water to create a whirlpool. Gently pour the egg into the center of the whirlpool. Cook for about 3 minutes, or until yolk is set but not hard.

Gently remove using a slotted spoon. Drain on absorbent kitchen paper.

When ready to serve, arrange the lettuce among serving bowls. Top with shaved cheese. Sprinkle croutons over salad.
